Town Hall Meeting with Ombudsman

The Ombudsman is conducting a systematic review of the concerns of Canada's military families.
All military families are encouraged to attend a public Town Hall Meeting at the MFRC on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The focus of the Town Hall will be to explore concerns that affect the lives of military families - including operational temp; operational stress injuries; medical concerns; and social and community support. Free pizza will be served. Children are welcome.

What a McHappy Day it was!!!!
McDonald's owners just reported Cold Lake had the busiest McHappy Day ever. Cold Lake ranks in the top 5 of 179 McDonalds location for funds raised yesterday. While the final totals are yet to be tallied, regardless of the dollars, McHappy Day was a great example of community spirit.
87 volunteers contributed 89 hours of work raising funds for 4 Wing MFRCS and Ronald McDonald House Charities. That is the more than the equivalent of two weeks work in just 13 hrs. Each volunteer was put to the test and now knows what an hour working at McDonalds is really like. Ben Land, co-owner was very pleased with the respect all volunteers showed staff and the business. McDonald's staff and owners were perfect hosts.
Thank you to everyone for pulling together and supporting 4 Wing MFRCS and Ronald McDonald House Charities. You all put the "happy" in McHappy Day.
