MFRC Family Play Time Playgroup
Ages: Parents and children birth - 8 years
Come and participate in our monthly celebrations. Special activities are provided for the enjoyment of the children. It is an opportunity to enjoy interactive play with your children, and social time with other adults in the community. Refreshments are provided. Although this program is advertised in both official languages, program facilitators are English speaking and not proficient in French.

Drop-In Playgroup
Ages: Parents and children birth - 8 years
This playgroup is an interactive program designed so that parents and children can have fun together. Playgroup provides parents, caregivers and children an opportunity to participate in child development activities in a supervised setting. The program stimulates the understanding of child development needs and introduces parents to the multitude of resources available at the MFRC.
Dates: Mondays 9:30 - 11:30 am & Thursdays 1 - 3 pm
Drop In Fee: $1/per session for each child OR $10.00 for 15 sessions and free for babies under 12 months

Francophone Playgroup
This playgroup is an interactive program designed so that parents and children can have fun together and still maintain their Francophone culture. Playgroup provides parents, caregivers, and children an opportunity to participate in child development activities in a supervised setting. This program stimulates the understanding of child development needs, and introduces parents to the multitude of resources available at the MFRC. This is a partnership program with the Institut Guy-Lacombe de la famille.

COW Bus (Classroom on Wheels)
Ages: Birth - 6 years
This program is a partnership program between the Centre for Family Literacy, the CRA and the MFRC. You may borrow books for free for 2 weeks, share stories with your child, listen to stories and songs and win with weekly draws for free books.

Early Intervention Screening
Ages: 2.5 to 6
Sturgeon School Division assists children who require specialized programs in speech and language, behaviour and fine or gross motor skills. Screenings will be held from April to September at the MFRC. Phone (780) 939-4341 ext 1257 for an appointment to see if your child qualifies for our Program Unit Funded Initiated (PUF) or Headstart Programs.
