Administered by local C/MRFCs, emergency and respite child care are made available to all CF families when needed.

• Emergency Child Care (ECS) services provide timely, affordable and regulated child care for members in times of emergency.
• Emergency respite care is available to all CF families when it has been determined that a period of respite is absolutely essential for a family’s continued health and well-being. 

In both instances, funding is available for up to 72 hours, and under certain circumstances, additional funding may be available.
