The Family Information Line (FIL) will keep offering the same deployment related services previously provided by the Mission Information Line (MIL).
Through reliable, thorough and comprehensive information, the FIL keeps families updated on the various missions that CF personnel are involved in via recorded messages by the deployed members themselves.
The information being provided by the FIL originates from a number of sources at the Department of National Defence, including:
- Canadian Expeditionary Force Command;
- Public Affairs Officers; and
- Deployment Support Centres/Groups.
A touch-tone telephone is required to use the Automated System; pressing “0” will connect you with a counsellor. Rotary telephone users are asked to simply wait on the line and personnel will assist you.
