If you are not sure what is involved, or what kind of commitment is needed, here’s a brief outline:

Time Commitment:

• Monthly meetings
• Attendance of Annual General Meeting in June
• Attendance at some special and fundraising events

Role of the Board:

• Providing leadership within the organization
• Prepare for and participate in the discussions and deliberations of the BOD
• Setting financial policies which are based on goals and objectives of the MFRC
• Provide guidance, support and direction to the Executive Director, as well as evaluation of their performance
• Enhancing the image of the MFRC in the community

Expectations:

• Attending an orientation session
• Adhering to privacy and confidentiality
