Our VALUES

Mainland BC Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is the leading service organization providing support throughout Mainland British Columbia. The MFRC provides support to more than 2500 Canadian Forces Regular & Reservist families living in British Columbia. The MFRC offers the service that the organization was founded on: To support the needs and the unique lifestyle of the military families throughout Mainland BC.

Times change. Organizations change. MFRC also changed. In response to the different needs and demands of our clients and volunteers alike, we have created services to fit our changing society. Pre/During/Post-Deployment Support; Prevention, Support & Intervention/Family Liaison (PSI/JPSU); Deployment Support Group Liaison; Out-Reach  Stay in Touch (SIT); Short-Term Emergency Counseling & Referrals; Emergency & Respite Child Care; Compassionate House; Community Integration; Personal Development; Child & Youth Activities; Marketing of Strength Behind the Uniform Merchandise; Promotions at Special Community Events; and Responsive Management & Administration.

All services provide a variety of opportunities for volunteering and support to military families regardless of where they live in BC.

Since its inception in 1993, the improvement to the Mainland BC MFRC services have made a difference in the unique lives of our military families by providing a “Helping Hand” where one is needed.

The impact made by our volunteers and staff is truly overwhelming. Families who have received our support services see real, positive and supportive change. Our Military Families receive timely and compassionate support regardless of where they live in BC.
