Deployment Support Workbooks for Children
The Esquimalt MFRC has taken the years of experience that they have had with running deployment workshops for children and have created easy to use workbooks for children and parents to help families cope with the deployment experience. The books are designed to provide all the information that one would get from attending a deployment support workshop without ever having to attend a workshop! The Children’s workbooks contain activities for different phases of the deployment experience and the parent’s book contains the information needed to facilitate these exercises.
There are 3 books for children, each designed for a specific age group (i.e. book 1: 3-5 years old, book 2:6-8 years old, book 3: 9-12 years old), and a workbook for parents that covers all the material in all of the books. Although the books are designed for children of a deploying parent, the activities and information could be tailored by a creative parent to assist nieces/nephews or younger brothers/sisters.
The books are free through the Mainland BC MFRC, so all you need to do is call our office to put your order in.
To order the booklets, call the office at 604-225-2520 ext. 2518 or send an email to office@bcmfrc.com
