What is the Board of Directors?The Moncton MFRC is governed by a Board of Directors, comprising of a minimum of 51% civilian spouses of Military members, that work as trustees on behalf of the community. Board Members are voted into office at the Annual General Meeting.

The Board Governance model selected by the MFRC is the John Carver model and works on the premise of Board Holism. That is, "the Board is a single organizational position and must officially behave as "one".

The Moncton MFRC is a not-for-profit charitable organization registered with the Province of New Brunswick and work in equal partnership with the Personnel Support Program Agency, specifically with Director Military Family Services and Moncton Detachment of 3 ASG Gagetown. The Board has one staff member, the Executive Director. The responsibilities of the Board are:

  • Develop policies and administrative orders for the MFRC;
  • Develop Vision Statements;
  • Review the Annual Service Delivery Agreement;
  • Approve the Service Delivery Agreement;
  • Review the Financial posture of the Centre monthly;

  • Public Relations in collaboration with the Information & Referral Coordinator;
  • Fundraising;
  • Board Member Recruitment;
