Recognizing Signs of Depression

No one takes a giant leap into depression—it is more of a slowly cumulating process.  It’s important to be able to recognize the signs of depression in yourself and your family members so that you can take positive action.

Signs of Depression:

  • Altered eating patterns
  • Quicker temper
  • Constantly watching television and using the internet
  • Altered sleeping patterns
  • Withdrawing from people
  • Using alcohol or other substances to cope
  • Feeling nervous or anxious
