Welcome to 22 Wing North Bay. The experience of coming to a new city can be very frustrating and sometimes lonely for adults as well as children. We hope that you will visit the North Bay Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) when you have settled in. We have many services available to you; we can help you find out about your community, possible employment opportunities or upcoming events. Our programs range from personal support and short term counseling to emergency and respite child care for tired parents. You can surf the internet on our community computers, use the fax or photocopy machine or simply sit and have coffee with us.

Shoulder to Shoulder
As you may know, the Shoulder to Shoulder initiative was officially launched on Friday, October 21. This program builds on existing services and increases support for families of the fallen. It links the families of Canadian Forces (CF) personnel who have died while serving, regardless of the circumstances of death, with the many resources and compassionate support services developed to meet their unique needs. It provides families with administrative, professional and peer support, for as long as they may need it.
As part of Shoulder to Shoulder, Director Military Family Services (DMFS) provides the services of the Family Information Line, a 1-800 line which provides supportive counseling and useful information to all CF families, along with the FamilyForce website. Families will find an array of online resources on the Shoulder to Shoulder site on FamilyForce, including benefits information, assistance navigating through the administrative and organization structure of the CF and virtual support - by mean of online forums and live chats.
