Parenting is not easy however you are not alone. We offer support in regards to your child’s overall development.
We welcome families with special needs
Having a child with special needs requires you to become knowledgeable of various agencies and programs in your community.
We can help you make decisions that will enhance your child’s physical, language, emotional, social and educational development.
We can help you connect with the agencies that will meet your family’s needs. We are aware of the services available and funding sources that may help your family.
The North Bay MFRC offers the following resources to families:

Child Care Registry
If you are looking for a babysitter, come into the LWCC and look through our Child Care Registry Binder.
Note: The individuals listed in the Child Care Registry have not been screened by the Military Family Resource Centre.

Parent Tot Playgroup
Are you interested in getting out of the house for a few hours, meeting other parents while giving your child/ren a chance to socialize? Then this group is what you have been waiting for! Join us at the Community Centre (Multi Purpose Room) from 1000 to 1115 for a morning of crafts, songs and stories. Cost is $2 per child. The Navigator Project
If you are relocating we encourage you to surf the Navigator Project website. This informative website provides Canadian military families with access to various community agencies at the click of a mouse.
Families are able to surf the website before moving to another location across Canada or when a situation arises. Please keep in mind that new information specific to each MFRC is being added on a regular basis.
The Navigator Project recognizes that families are continually striving to meet various commitments no matter where they live. Family commitments can include: supporting a child or adult with special needs, an aging parent or loved one living in the same community or long distance and more.
