Volunteers

Volunteers are our stars - they make our community shine!

Volunteering is a great way to develop new skills and meet new friends. Whether you are available to volunteer a couple of days a week or only once a year, we have a place for you on one or more of our Volunteer Teams. Decide which team would be best suited for you and give us a call!

Family Volunteering
The family has long been seen as a basic building block of our communities. Family volunteering can be an important part of a cycle of positive change. It also brings a great deal of joy, togetherness and fun! Teach your children how to be good community members through your example. So volunteer, as a family, for the health of it! And if you or your family have innovative and exciting ideas to contribute for family or group volunteering please call!

Volunteer for Vitality
Donating time just may help you live longer!

Whether its volunteering at your local community centre or at the library, the time and support you give to help others just may help you as well. Studies have shown that people who volunteer, experience improvement in life satisfaction, well-being, and overall health. Perhaps due to the increased social interaction and meaningfulness of volunteer work, donating time just may help you live longer.

Real-Age benefit: having a good social support system of family and friends can make your real-age up to 3.5 years younger! (from RealAge website).

New!
