Cool Programs and Workshops for Youth and Teens 

We offer a variety of recreational and educational programs and workshops for youth of all ages. Contact the South Side Community Centre to register.

Youth Activities Coordinator

Kitchen Sense
Youth can learn basic techniques in the kitchen, including safety, food contamination, and Canada's Food Guide—all while having fun! This course runs over two days and concludes with youth cooking a meal for their parents.

Red Cross Babysitter Training
Ages 11+
Youth can become qualified babysitters and learn how to better help out at home with younger siblings. This course is instructed by a certified Red Cross instructor.

Home Alone
Ages 10-12
Are you eager to stay at home while Mom and Dad are out on short errands? Come join us to help you gain the confidence and smarts to deal with these situations on your own.

GIRLZ
Girls Indulgence & Relaxation Lollapalooza
Enjoy an evening with the girls! This program is run to give girls the chance to learn a new skill and pamper themselves at the same time.

Street Smartz
This multi-session program is run in local participating schools and gives youth the information they need to feel confident in the choices they have to make out there in the real world.
