Morale Mail 

Until December 31, 2011, Canada Post is allowing Canadian Forces family members and friends to send lettermail weighing up to 500 grams to deployed Canadian Forces members free of charge. Letters must be dropped off at participating Morale Mail Drop-Off locations.

Can’t get to a designated drop-off location? Contact us for more information about how you can get your special message to your deployed soldier.

Morale Mail – Free Holiday Parcel Delivery

During the holiday season, Canada Post offers free parcel delivery as well as free lettermail delivery to our deployed troops. Please check this website regularly for updates on the upcoming year’s holiday program.

Parcel Packaging

All packages must be securely packaged to avoid damage and leaking. Place breakable items or liquid substances within a strong outer container to avoid damaging other items. Canadian Forces Morale Mail is not insurable or traceable.

Parcel Dimensions, Size & Weight

Items that do not meet size and weight restrictions will not be accepted.

  • Maximum weight of 20 kilograms
  • Maximum length of 1 metre; and
  • The maximum length + girth* is 2 metres.
  • The definition of girth is “width + height + width + height”

Return Address

Place the return address and phone number in the top left corner of parcels.

Customs/Contents List

All parcels are subject to inspection by the host country’s customs officials. Therefore, write a detailed list of contents on the bottom left corner of all parcels.
