Three Tips to Keep In Mind When Dealing With a Difficult Child’s Behaviour

  1. Take a deep breath!
Remember: children do not act out because they want to make us upset. They act out because they don’t know how else to express themselves.
  2. Don’t be afraid to take a break
If you need to have a few hours to yourself, make the arrangements. The break will benefit both of you.
  3. Time out
Use the “time out” as an opportunity to gather your thoughts and try to offer your children a smile when the time out is over.
  4. Time Out Tips
