Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
Parent/Child Drop-Ins
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
South Side Community Centre, 1578 Wolfe Ave.
Petawawa, Ontario
Help to set up the playroom and the gym, hang out with the parents and the kids, make new people feel more comfortable, and help prepare snacks, do dishes, and clean up after the event. This is a great opportunity for a long-term volunteer commitment. Enjoy child care reimbursement rewards.*
Toy Cleaning
This is an important job that needs to be done so our children stay healthy. You can listen to music while you disinfect the toys. It takes about two hours. Enjoy child care reimbursement rewards.*

Various locations
Help provide child care as a duty parent when our staff is on lunch hour. Enjoy child care reimbursement rewards.

English and French volunteer opportunities are available in any PMFRC program.

Deployment
Deployment Services’ volunteer opportunities range from offering child care during family briefings to assisting with Family Fun Days for the families of those deployed. The Children’s Deployment Support Group and Buddies Program also require ongoing helpers.
