We have numerous volunteer options for you to try, and we will gladly sit down with you to find a volunteer opportunity that is the perfect fit for you.
To volunteer, you need to:
- Have a current, valid Police Reference Check (which we can help you obtain)
- Have a Personal Reference Check (a form we will mail or email to the individuals you choose)
- Complete an orientation session with the Volunteer Services Coordinator
- Discuss and choose from our available volunteer opportunities
Child care reimbursement
As a registered volunteer with the PMFRC, we will reimburse your child care costs. To take advantage of our child care reimbursement plan, you will need to book your children into the North Side or South Side Child Care Centre in advance to ensure there is space available.
If you are planning to volunteer on an evening or weekend, we will also reimburse you for your child care costs (max $20.00/event).
