Outreach, Information, Support and Assistance to CF Family Members 

This service enhances the CF member’s ability to be ready for duty by providing resources and supports that meet the families’ needs as a result of separation.  This includes the pre-deployment, deployment & post-deployment periods.

If you are a member who meets this criteria or a family member who would like to take advantage of our services, please contact the Family Services Coordinator at 492-2135 ext 4137

Below is a list of deployment & reunion services that are provided by the Family Services Coordinator of the CSMFRC:

  • Deployment & Reunion information packages: These are available to anyone who would like one. These packages contain information relevant to families going through deployment separation. 
  • Monthly Warm Line Calls:   The Family Services Coordinator will call you on a monthly basis to see if there is anything that you need or want. If you would like a monthly call please inform the Family Services Coordinator to get on the list Warm line calls 2010 newest.
  • Resources:  Information is available to help you become as informed as you choose to be on the subject of deployment and reunion. 
  • Community Resources & Referrals:  If you are in need of assistance within the community & do not know where to look, the Family Services Coordinator will work to facilitate whatever connections you may desire.
  • Monthly Deployment Support Meetings:  These meetings are called Coffee Talk. Speakers are booked regularly & will cover various topics pertaining to deployment. The meeting is located at the Saskatoon Legion on Spadina Crescent at 7:00 pm. Watch this website or see our newsletter for information as to date & topic.
  • Casual Respite Care:  If you have small children (ages 6 weeks to 12 years old) & your spouse is away on in-country or out-of-country deployment or training, you are eligible for these programs. This entitles you to 72 hours of respite childcare either through the CSMFRC childcare centre or through a childcare provider of your choice. Please contact the Family Services Coordinator to discuss options.
  • Emergency Childcare: Also provided are emergency childcare services, which allows for 72 hours of childcare in the event of an emergency situation. Please contact the Family Services Coordinator to discuss options for this program.
  • Reintegration Program:  This is a program that allows families to reintegrate after the member returns home. This is done by subsidizing a short getaway. For more information on this program, look at the Reintegration Program section under “Deployment, Departures & Reunions”.
