Who has access to MFRC programs and services?
The MFRC services all military families living in Shilo and the surrounding area. Anyone living in the surrounding area of North and South Cypress are also welcomed to use our services.
What is considered a deployment?
The MFRC's definition of deployment is "a military person away from their family for more than one month". It does not matter where the deployed person is, whether it is on a course in Borden, on TD in Wainwright or in Afghanistan. If they are away for more than one month their family is entitled to all deployment programs.
How do I register for a program?
You can register by phoning the MFRC at 765-3000 ext. 3352 or dropping by the office. Remember, however, that you are only fully registered once payment is received at the MFRC office.
Can I receive a refund?
If you cancel before the registration deadline, a full refund will be given. Just contact the MFRC office.
Can I participate in a deployment activity even if my partner is not away?
Yes, however priority will go to deployed families. If room is available, you can sign up and if your partner is not deployed you will be responsible for any costs related to the program.
How do I access emergency childcare?
Emergency Childcare Service is available to CF families during a military services related or medical emergency when the family does not have sufficient time to implement their personal childcare plan.
