Here in Shilo we pride ourselves in having a variety of programs for school age kids 5-12 yrs to have a chance to spend time with their peers as well as learn useful life skills.

School age programs, courses and workshops

Keen, Kool, Kooler Kids a weekly drop in program
Every Wednesday, kids are invited to join us at the Shilo Community Centre to play games and participate in special activities. Only a $1.00 drop in fee is required. Runs September to the end of May.

Keen Kids ages 5 & 6 yrs (5-6pm)
Kool Kids ages 7, 8 & 9 yrs (6-7pm)
Kooler Kids ages 10,11 & 12 yrs (7:30-9pm)

Summer Fun Playground Program
A summer day camp for kids ages 5-12 yrs. Lots of
fun activities and field trips to keep the kids busy through the summer holidays.

Birthday Club
For only $140.00 you can choose the theme of your child's choice. All parties include 8 children plus the birthday child, invitations, loot bags, cake, meal, beverages, games, prizes, and crafts. Any extra children the cost would be $7.50 per child. Birthday parties are to be booked two weeks in advance.  Ages for birthday parties can be anywhere from 5 (already in kindergarten) to 12 years old.  Parties are two hours in length and held anywhere from Monday-Friday evenings or Saturday mid afternoon.  For more information contact Courtney at 765-3000 ext. 4555

Student Lunch Program 
The Shilo MFRC offers a lunch program for non-bussed O’Kelly School children during the school year. The program will run all schools days throughout the year.
Children go to a designated room with their bagged lunch; supervision both indoor and then outdoors until the bell rings for afternoon classes. We have a microwave available on premises; however, we are a nut free building, so lunches containing nuts are not allowed.

The cost for this program is $1.00/day per child. Payment can be made two ways:

-         Punch cards in $5.00 and $10.00 denominations. Each time a member of your family comes to the lunch program we punch out $1.00 off the card. Cards are good for the whole year and do not have to be used up each month.

-         Pay monthly ; You pay for only those days that school is in                                                                     

PLEASE NOTE:
All participants must be registered! Registration is free. It allows us to have emergency contacts and medical information such as allergies etc. If you think you might use this service register now and avoid having to come in later. Even if you were registered with us last year, we require you to register again to ensure we have the up-to-date information!
