Volunteer Development

The purpose of the St. John’s MFRC is to provide quality programming and services designed to meet the needs of the local Military community.  This is achieved through community participation at all levels including program development, management and evaluation.  Volunteers are the backbone of this process. They provide additional expertise and create a more personal touch to available services.

Volunteers are fundamental to the Military Family Service Program (MFSP) concept. Volunteers play an integral role in ensuring Military Family Resource Centres (MFRC’s) are governed properly and have community involvement in program and service delivery.
