About the Community

Through the I&R program the MFRC promotes its own programs and other relevant community programs, services and activities.

This is done through our quarterly newsletter Touching Base , our Web Site, the weekly Contact newspaper, local newspapers and flyers, and through community outreach, newcomer welcoming and referral services.

A Resource Library is available free of charge to the military community that includes books, tapes and videos on a variety of topics.

Program Mandate
The mandate of program
is to connect people with the information they require. This service starts with the distribution of the Welcome Package before or upon arrival of the newcomers and then continues as the need arises... it could be information on education resources, activities and/or services on the base or in the surrounding communities. If you have a question, we will find an answer or the person who should be able to answer it. We will do our best to find the needed information.
