Playmates
This Parent/Caregiver & Tot drop-in program for is intended for children ages 0-5 years. Playmates provides an opportunity for parents/caregivers and children to socialize and interact through playtime, art activities, and stories. Playmates is held Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 - 11:30 am. Cost is $2.00 per family or dayhome group.
Tumble Time
This Parent/Caregiver & Tot drop-in gym program is intended for children ages 0-5 years. Tumble Time provides an opportunity for parents/caregivers and children to interact and be active. This non-instructional play program encourages the development of gross motor skills and coordination. Tumble Time is held Fridays from 10:30 am -12:00 pm at the Base Gym. Cost is $2.00 per family or dayhome group.
Casual Child Care
This program runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-11:30 am at a cost of $12.00 per session per family. Three free sessions per month are offered to families of deployed members. Pre-registration in person is required. Payment must be made at time of registration. This service is available to all military families on a first-come first-served basis. Registration opens at the beginning of each month. Appointments will be taken for current and subsequent month.
Before School Drop-In
The Centre is open on school day mornings from 7:00 – 8:30 am for children of military members or DND employees:
a) so that children who are waiting for the school bus have a refuge in case of inclement weather, or
b) so that on non-school days children registered in the OSCC and whose parents work before the OSCC opens will have a place to wait.

Out of School Care Centre
This program, licensed by Alberta Child and Family Services, offers 25 spaces for children from 5 to 12 years of age, Monday to Friday from 3:30 - 5:00 pm and on Early Dismissals and PD Days. Registration is required.
Friday Night Drop-In for Grades 1-6
The MFRC Youth Centre hosts a Drop-In for students in Grades 1 to 6 every Friday and Saturday night from 6:00 - 8:00 pm (unless an event requiring pre-registration is taking place). Located in the MFRC building.
Reminder to all youth: There is no charge to come hang out! Only if a special event is planned and registration is needed is a fee charged.

Family Bus Trips
Several family bus trips are offered throughout the year to military families. These may include, but are not limited to, West Edmonton Mall, Fort Edmonton Park, the Edmonton Zoo, and Commonwealth Stadium for an Edmonton Eskimos football game.

The MFRC offers several skill development courses and workshops throughout the year. These may include, but are not limited to, the Babysitter's course and the Home Alone Course.

Special events are offered bi-monthly as an opportunity for social interaction. These events may include, but are not limited to, dances, meet-and-greets, theme/holiday parties, etc.
