Second Language Training

The MFRC offers French and English Second Language Training to military spouses twice each year. The courses run two evenings per week for three hours each evening over 10 weeks, for a total course length of 60 hours. All classes are subject to minimum particpant number requirements.

These courses are free for military spouses and military dependants (over the age of 15). A $50 deposit is required that is returned upon successful completion and 85% attendance of the course. Military spouses may also be eligible for a childcare subsidy. CF members and civilians are able to take the course at a fee of $100.

ONLINE TRAINING

The MFRC also has limited number of licenses for online language training for military family members only. This is a one year pilot projects and participants will be able to take their online training from their own home.
