The Wainwright MFRC's Employment and Education Coordinator provides assistance to military spouses and youth in looking for employment and in career and educational planning. Assistance includes:
- Information on employment opportunities
- Information and referral to appropriate local resources
- Interest and skills inventory
- Resume and cover letter writing/updating assistance
- Interview preparation and skill development
- Information on education and training opportunities
- Information on Employment Insurance and other employment related government programs
Assistance and Information Services
The MFRC offers books and materials on employment and career-related topics. There are many free resources available, as well as resource books that may be borrowed through the Denwood Community Library,
A fax machine, photocopier, and public-use computer are available for career and employment purposes.
Throughout the year, the Employment and Education Assistance Program schedules workshops on various topics including work search techniques, career planning, teen employment, and home-based businesses.
Career Fairs
Every other year, the MFRC participates with local agencies to present a career fair that brings together professionals and employers from various fields. The Career Fair presents information on career choices and post-secondary institutions and programs that may be helpful to you.
