Reserve Events

Throughout the year, Reserve units have opportunities to participate in various type of events.  This page highlights a selection of these fun and remarkable occasions.

BeaverFit Montreal Region

The Montreal Region PSP has equipped itself with a BeaverFit mobile training room! Convenient for units with limited access to training equipment and facilities.
The BeaverFit traveled to Farnham this summer to support a group of reservists from the 34 CBG. To benefit from it too, contact your PSP team!

2nd Annual Hero Classic

It is a well-held aphorism that a rising tide raises all ships. This proved true on the morning of September 23rd at the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, Nova Scotia.Three teams, the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), the Canadian Army (CA), and the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) played in a very close competition, but at the end the CCG brought home the trophy. Regardless of the outcome, the important takeaway from the tournament was the bonds of friendship and trust. By opening opportunities through sports, deeper relationships between intergovernmental agencies were formed. The Army Reserve participants would like to extend our thanks to Canadian Coast Guard College for their hospitality at the campus and to PSP for organizing the tournament. We will see you again next year!

Navy Bike Ride Quebec

Each year, Naval Reserve units are invited to take part in a Bike Challenge in their respective regions, to promote healthy lifestyle habits. This year, as part of the Canadian Navy's 100th anniversary celebrations, a nationwide challenge was proposed: to cycle 100 km in one day. To keep the event accessible to everyone in the Quebec City region, we opted for a 30 km route along the St. Lawrence River, starting from Quebec City's old port and ending at Montmorency Falls. On June 3, 2023, over 100 participants, military members, families and friends took part in the event. According to the organizing committee, members of the Naval Reserve and PSP, the event was a great success! We look forward to seeing you next year for another Bike Challenge, with a competitive component for more experienced cyclists.
Slo-pitch Tournament baseball players

1st Annual Hero Classic

October 2022, some members of the 36th Brigade Reserve team took on the Coast Guard Cadets in a friendly slo-pitch tournament. We're proud of this great team spirit in between Army, Navy, Airforce and the Coast Guard.

Organized at the Canadian Coast Guard College, the slo-pitch tournament was run in collaboration with Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare.
