The Canadian Forces Newspapers

Did you know that nine in 10 Canadians (88%) read newspapers each week across Canada – either in print or digital format?

The Canadian Forces Newspapers (CFN) provide our community with diverse, local, original content that cannot be found anywhere else. They report on military operations, exercises, promotions and achievements.  Our newspaper teams are made up of managers, editors,  journalists, graphic designers and photographers. Over 250,000 readers in 16 communities rely on them as a source for information.  In fact many of the programs offered by CFMWS are covered and celebrated in our CFNs.

Newspaper staff also conduct other Morale and Welfare programs ranging from coloring contests for children to publishing community welcome guides.  Our latest program is a Youth Reporter Completion that gives teens from military families the chance to have a voice and be heard.
